Marc Knox, created this site as a 'hobby' allowing him to fuse his love of literature and art with web design, things he enjoys. Marc tells us, "When I was younger and personal computers that had 64K RAM memory where considered the top end of the market, I used to write furiously. Day after day I'd write down some new earth shattering literary release or another. I knew then what I know now; what I wrote was never destined to be found in a book in someones library but the sheer act of putting pen to paper helped transfer the thoughts from my head to somewhere else; If I was American I'd probably have to have paid a shrink $50 a week from age 5! As I've aged I still have the desire to write, I just don't have the discipline. I've long thought it would be great to find a place on the internet where you could peruse and maybe submit something, a drawing, a poem, whatever you wanted. Sure, I found places that would host my stories and poems mostly all of them had conditions - I waded into HTML, got lost, found Dreamweaver and finally this site appeared. How to make a donation to Selfless-Mind.com Selfless-Mind.com is currently run more as a labour of love than anything else. Marc, the webmaster, uses it to combine his liking of art & literature with computing and web design. The more he learns the more he tweaks, sometimes to the detriment of actually doing anything for regular viewers. A lot of the problems in the early stages were caused by the style, it wasn't until dreamweaver was mastered a little that the framework could be put in place. From then on it's down to mood swings... If Marc is in the mood he'll do some work on the site if not it'll have to wait. Now that the site is more or less finished daily updates only need to be done when new work is submitted or additions made. Needless to say there's costs involved in teaching yourself things, even though there's a wealth of information on the internet, you still have to buy a few books on various topics and they don't come cheap!
